ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are looking for a Plumbing Service Manager who will play a crucial role in achieving the company’s strategic objectives and annual goals by delivering exceptional electrical services aligned with Salt’s vision, purpose, and core values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mentor and guide team leads to achieve desired performance metrics.
  • Conduct weekly mentoring sessions with team leads on performance metrics.
  • Ensure team leads meet job performance standards, complying with appropriate codes and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of trucks, auditing paperwork, and service call checklists.
  • Oversee the management of inventory for service calls by service technicians.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective and complete job objectives.
  • Provide support to team leads in troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Be accountable for department performance and progress toward company goals.
  • Lead the interview and selection process for team leads, technicians, and apprentice candidates.
  • Manage department performance metrics, including average invoice total, callback ratios, and labor margins.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team leaders, technicians, and apprentices.
  • Investigate reported safety issues and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Resolve issues involving missing and/or damaged tools and any vehicle malfunctions.
  • Communicate and promote the benefits of Club Membership to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of four years' experience (preferred, but not required) in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving diverse plumbing issues.
  • Valid driver’s license with approval from SALT’s insurance carrier.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to effectively lead a team to positive outcomes.
  • Proficient in using a computer tablet, smartphone, and reading maps or following GPS.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The majority of time is spent in the office addressing problems and administrative needs.
  • Occasional work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • In the field, may involve climbing ladders and steep stairs, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally work from heights up to 15 feet above ground.
  • Good visual acuity.

POSITION SPECIFIC STANDARDS:

  • Willingness to attend training courses to advance skills.
  • Availability to work outside normal hours if needed.
  • Available for team support by phone, as needed 24/7.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all private, sensitive, and proprietary business issues.

SCHEDULE:

  • Availability to work Monday- Friday anywhere between 7:00AM-4:30pm (or until daily task are complete)

SALARY:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $130,000 annually (with bonus opportunity)
